September 29, 2017 Alma, New Brunswick Parks Canada Agency
There’s something for everyone at the fourth annual Fundy Bike Fest, taking place September 30 - October 8 at Fundy National Park. The Fundy Bike Fest is a fun and educational mountain biking event suited for all abilities and ages.
The festival’s events kick off Saturday, September 30th with a hands-on trail building workshop presented by the International Mountain Biking Association (IMBA). Participants need to register for this workshop by contacting Marc Leger (marc.leger@pc.gc.ca or 506-887-6109). The workshop will be followed by IMBA’s Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day, which will feature a children’s guided ride through the national park. Later in the day, there will be two events presented by Outdoor Elements: a fat bike demonstration and the Tippen Lot Trail Group Ride. The Take a Kid Mountain Biking activity, fat bike demonstration, and group ride will all be held at Fundy National Park’s new Chignecto Recreation Area.
On Thursday, October 5th, Outdoor Elements presents the Pedal and Pint Night Ride, starting at 7:30 p.m. at White Tail Trail in Fundy National Park. There will be a post-ride celebratory event to follow at the Holy Whale Brewery in nearby Alma.
All Fundy Bike Fest’s activities in Fundy National Park are free.
