Visitors planning to vacation in Prince Edward Island National Park this summer can reserve campsites at Stanhope and Cavendish Campgrounds for the 2018 season as of 8 a.m. AST January 22. A camping vacation in PEI National Park is one of the most memorable ways to experience and enjoy the natural beauty of the sandy beaches, trails, and ecosystems of this special place.
Both Cavendish and Stanhope campgrounds are less than 100 metres from PEI National Park beaches, trails and interpretive programs. Campers can enjoy upgraded facilities at both campgrounds, including new welcome centres and upgraded washrooms, larger serviced sites, and improved trails. Visitors requiring accessible camping options can reserve several of the campgrounds’ accessible oTENTiks and campsites, which offer easy access to washroom and kitchen facilities.
The Government of Canada is celebrating families with free admission to all Parks Canada’s places for youth 17 and under in 2018 and beyond. Parks Canada invites Canadian families and their children to experience the outdoors and learn more about our environment and heritage.
The 2018 Parks Canada Discovery Pass is now on sale and is a great value, providing access to these national treasures all year long.
