Fundy National Park Celebrates Family Day this Weekend with Loads of Fun Activities

From fat bikes to sliding - we have lots of ways to enjoy winter

Fundy National Park is celebrating winter with a fun-filled Family Day long weekend. Starting on Saturday February 17, the national park will host a Fat Bike Festival, presented by Outdoor Elements. Guests of all ages are welcome to gather at the Chignecto Recreation Area for a free fat bike demo in the morning between 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Guided rides in the national park will be held in the afternoon on demand. Fat bike rentals will be available on site for those wishing to participate.

To wrap up the long weekend, a Family Day Sliding Party will be taking place on February 19. This event includes tobogganing thrills at the bowl across from the Visitor Centre with hot drinks and goodies inside the Salt and Fir Centre between 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. Don’t forget to BYOM - bring your own mug! This event is presented by the Fundy Guild – Fundy National Park’s cooperating association, Hopewell Rocks, Cape Enrage, and the Fundy Trail Parkway.

Fundy National Park also welcomes visitors to enjoy cozy accommodations including yurts, rustic cabins and oTENTiks throughout the 2018 winter season. Reservations can be made in advance at https://reservation.pc.gc.ca/Home.aspx or by calling 1-877-RESERVE (1-877-737-3783).
