Government of Canada recognizes the National Historic Significance of Hay River Missions

Representatives from Parks Canada and the Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada will take part in a plaque unveiling ceremony to commemorate the Hay River Missions National Historic Site.
Located on the lands of K’atl’oceeche First Nation, the historic structures and cemeteries of the Hay River Missions National Historic Site reflect decades of interaction between Indigenous and settler populations.
