Canada Day Métis Friendship Celebration at Lower Fort Garry

Join us for the opening ceremony of the second Canada Day Métis Friendship Celebration held at Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site. This event is hosted by Parks Canada, in collaboration with the Manitoba Metis Federation (MMF).

Family friendly activities on Canada Day at Lower Fort Garry include self-guided tours, games, face-painting, and free cake! Visitors can also enjoy a variety of traditional Métis music, dancing and interactive activities.

Admission is free and members of the public are invited to join Parks Canada and the Manitoba Metis Federation for this special celebration.
