Parks Canada’s Hometown Heroes program honours Commodore Laraine Orthlieb (Ret’d)

A Parks Canada ceremony is being held to honour Commodore Laraine Orthlieb (Ret’d)

as a Hometown Hero for her significant contributions to Canada’s naval reserve. Her leadership and dedication resonate with Parks Canada’s mission, emphasizing her role in preserving Canada’s heritage.

George Chahal, Member of Parliament for Calgary Skyview, Alberta, will be in attendance on behalf of the Honourable Steven Guilbeault, Minister of Environment and Climate Change and Minister responsible for Parks Canada.

Parks Canada’s President and CEO, Ron Hallman, will also be present to help honour and celebrate this Hometown Hero inductee.
