Parks Canada and students from Bedford Road Collegiate in Saskatoon will take part in a Historic Sites and Monuments Board of Canada ceremony to unveil a plaque commemorating the national historic significance of Ethel Catherwood.

Ethel Catherwood was a world-class athlete who set several world records in the high jump and the javelin in the 1920s and won a gold medal at the 1928 Olympics in Amsterdam.
