Minister Vandal to announce significant federal investment for Alberta’s value-added agricultural sector

July 2, 2024 – Olds, Alberta – The Honourable Dan Vandal, Minister for PrairiesCan, will announce significant federal support for a range of projects and initiatives that build capacity for Alberta-based organizations and businesses to bring new value-added agricultural products, services, and applications to market.

Joining Minister Vandal will be the Hon. RJ Sigurdson, Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation, Government of Alberta; Dr. Joy Agnew, Vice President, Research, Olds College; Brad Fournier, Director of Business Development, Pure Life Carbon; Ryan Brown, Director of Business Development, BiziSul Inc.; and Derek Leahy, Executive Director, Rural Routes to Climate Solutions, Stettler Adult Learning Centre.  

Speakers will be available to answer questions from the media following the remarks.
