Minister Olszewski to announce federal support to help southern Alberta businesses build resiliency and thrive

February 16, 2026 – Calgary, Alberta

The Honourable Eleanor Olszewski, Minister of Emergency Management and Community Resilience and Minister responsible for Prairies Economic Development Canada (PrairiesCan), will announce federal funding that will strengthen businesses in southern Alberta.

Minister Olszewski will be joined by Corey Hogan, Member of Parliament for Calgary Confederation and Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources; Dr. Chad London, Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Mount Royal University; and Bianca Parsons, Executive Director, Alberta Food Processors Association.

Speakers will be available for media questions following remarks.
