Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) Ecosystem Fund in the Prairie provinces
Intake period
The intake period for the Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) Ecosystem Fund is now closed. Expressions of Interests received by PrairiesCan prior to the intake period closing will be evaluated subject to available funding.
All projects must be completed by March 31, 2030.
The Ecosystem Fund is a key component of the Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP), a national initiative to break down barriers and create opportunities for Black entrepreneurs. It strengthens the Black entrepreneurship ecosystem by supporting Black-led, not-for-profit organizations to deliver high-impact business services from mentorship and networking to training, outreach and capacity building.
Building on the success of the fund since 2020, the Government of Canada is renewing and expanding its impact through 2030, with funding delivered by Canada’s regional development agencies. PrairiesCan is delivering $15.2 million to support organizations in the Prairie regions to help Black entrepreneurs access the resources they need to start, grow and succeed.
The BEP Ecosystem Fund provides non-repayable contributions to eligible not-for-profit, Black-led organizations to support projects that strengthen the Black entrepreneurship ecosystem across the Prairie provinces.
