Statement from Canada’s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness on the attack in London

OTTAWA, March 22, 2017 – Today, the Honourable Ralph Goodale, Canada’s Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Preparedness issued a statement on the attack in London:

“We are monitoring the events in London carefully.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the people of the United Kingdom, the victims, their families, and those affected by this despicable act of terrorism.

While our National Terrorism Threat Level remains unchanged at ‘medium’, Canada’s national security and intelligence partners are consistently reassessing the threat environment and remain vigilant to keep Canadians safe.

Canada stands together with Britain and will continue to work closely with our British partners to protect against security threats.”
