Media technical briefing on new legislation to counter foreign interference

Ottawa, Ontario – Government of Canada officials will hold a virtual technical briefing for media related to An Act respecting countering foreign interference.

The media technical briefing will be for background information only and not for attribution. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions.

• Media representatives who wish to attend must register with Public Safety Canada by emailing media@ps-sp.gc.ca to obtain the Zoom link and the teleconference line before 3:00 p.m. EDT on May 6, 2024.
• Participation via Zoom is listen only and participants will not be able to ask questions. 
• Media who join via teleconference will have an opportunity to ask questions.
