Government of Canada to hold a technical briefing followed by a press conference on the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program

Ottawa, Ontario – Members of the media are invited to join the Honourable Gary Anandasangaree, Minister of Public Safety, the Honourable Nathalie Provost, Secretary of State (Nature) and Chief Robert J. Walsh, Cape Breton Regional Police Service, for a press conference on the Assault-Style Firearms Compensation Program.

Prior to the press conference, Government of Canada officials will host an embargoed media technical briefing. Journalists will have the opportunity to ask questions to officials attending in a not for attribution capacity.
