Legacy equipment
Legacy equipment enable you to connect to an in-room screen, a microphone and speakers. Legacy equipment may come in different setups in boardrooms, but the instructions for use remain the same. Legacy equipments are older models of videoconferencing equipment, so you are likely to experience delays with the touch panel because legacy equipment devices are slow to respond.
Using legacy equipment
- On your boardroom videoconferencing device's home screen, select the option for calling
- if you do not see a Microsoft Teams button or icon
- press Call or Dial
- enter the address for joining Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) Teams meetings: teams@pspc-spac.video.canada.ca
- if you see only numbers, switch to keyboard mode by selecting the keyboard icon
- if you do not see a Microsoft Teams button or icon
- Press Call, Dial or Connect
- When prompted for the video conference ID, enter the 10-digit number from the meeting invitation, followed by the pound sign (#)
- Wait in the waiting lobby for the meeting host to admit you in the Teams meeting
- When the meeting is over, press End Call or Hang Up
Note
- You won't be able to see the chat and the live captions from the boardroom device
- Participants can join the Teams meeting from their individual notebooks to participate in the interactive meeting features such as chat and screen share
- To prevent audio feedback, disable incoming and outgoing audio from any notebooks located in the boardroom
Advanced features
Muting and unmuting
On your boardroom's video conference device, bring up the number keypad and press the star key (*) and 6 to mute or unmute the audio in the boardroom.
Switching language
If you have a Cisco tablet in front of you, follow these steps:
- select the video address at the top left corner of the tablet screen
- when a pop-up screen appears, select Parameters and then, the desired language
If you have a Crestron tablet in front of you, on the welcome screen, select the language of your choice at the bottom left corner.
