Chaudiere Crossing - lane reductions

For immediate release

GATINEAU, Quebec, December 2, 2016 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists of lane reductions on the Chaudiere Crossing from December 2, 2016, to January 27, 2017, as described below:

• December 2, 2016: periodic lane reductions from 9 am to 3 pm
• December 7 to 23, 2016: complete closure of the Ottawa-bound lanes
• January 2 to 16, 2017: complete closure of the Ottawa-bound lanes
• January 16 to 27, 2017: complete closure of the Gatineau-bound lanes

Traffic will be permitted in both directions; one northbound and one southbound lane will remain open at all times. All lanes will remain open from December 24, 2016, to January 2, 2017.

Pedestrians and cyclists will not be affected by these lane reductions.

These lane reductions are necessary to conduct general maintenance on the bridge.

The schedule may change because of weather conditions.
