LaSalle Causeway—Weekend closure

For immediate release

Kingston, Ontario, April 20, 2017 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise all users of a weekend closure on the LaSalle Causeway from April 21 to 24, 2017.  

The bridge will be closed to vehicular and marine traffic from Friday, April 21, at 9:30 pm to Monday, April 24, at 6 am. However, pedestrians and cyclists will have periodic access throughout this time.

This schedule may change because of weather conditions or logistical requirements. PSPC will publish notices regarding any schedule changes.  

The closure is required to install mechanical equipment and replace structural components on the bascule bridge. 

Safety is a top priority for PSPC, and we are committed to ensuring the continued integrity of the bridges we manage. We apologize for any inconvenience this closure may cause and thank everyone for their understanding.
