Lane closures and possible boardwalk reductions on Alexandra Bridge

Gatineau, Quebec, July 14, 2017 - Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to inform motorists and pedestrians that there will be lane closures and possible boardwalk reductions on the Alexandra Bridge as follows:

Closures to Gatineau-bound lane:

  • July 14 at 10 pm to July 17 at 5 am
  • July 21 at 10 pm to July 24 at 5 am 
  • July 24 to 27 from 9:30 am to 3 pm

Possible boardwalk reductions:

  • July 21 at 10 pm to July 24 at 5 am
  • July 24 to 27 from 9:30 am to 3 pm 

The boardwalk will remain accessible, but its width will be reduced. Cyclists will have to get off their bike and walk when they enter the reduced portion. Pedestrians and cyclists should exercise caution when crossing the boardwalk.

In case of inclement weather, the closures will be postponed to another date.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.
