Sidewalk and lane closures on Macdonald-Cartier Bridge

For immediate release

Gatineau, Quebec, May 11, 2018 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists and pedestrians that there will be sidewalk and lane closures on the Macdonald-Cartier Bridge to conduct general maintenance on the bridge during the following periods:

Sidewalk closures:

• Saturday, May 12, from 7:30 am to 8 pm: closure of the Ottawa-bound sidewalk
• Sunday, May 13, from 7:30 am to 8 pm: closure of the Gatineau-bound sidewalk
• Monday, May 14, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of the Gatineau-bound sidewalk
• Tuesday, May 15, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of the Ottawa-bound sidewalk
• Wednesday, May 16, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of the Gatineau-bound sidewalk

Lane closures:

• Monday, May 14, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of one Gatineau-bound lane and one Ottawa bound lane
• Tuesday, May 15, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of one Ottawa-bound lane
• Wednesday, May 16, from 8 pm to 5 am: closure of one Gatineau-bound lane

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.
