Closures of Lasalle Causeway

For immediate release

Kingston, Ontario, July 5, 2018 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise motorists that the Lasalle Causeway will be closed for tests and inspections during the following periods:

• Saturday, July 7, from midnight to 6 am
• Sunday, July 8, from midnight to 6 am

The closures are needed to test newly installed equipment. Depending on the results of the testing, the closures may be cancelled on short notice. Note that the closures could be extended until Monday, July 9, depending on the progress of the work.

No vehicular traffic will be permitted on the bridge during these periods.

Pedestrians and cyclists will have access to the sidewalk, but should expect delays of up to 30 minutes.

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.
