Boardwalk and lane closures on Alexandra Bridge

For immediate release

Gatineau, Quebec, October 5, 2018 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise users of the following boardwalk and lane closures from 9 am to 3 pm on the Alexandra Bridge for inspections:

• Tuesday, October 9: full bridge closure
• Wednesday, October 10, to Friday, October 12: closure of the Ottawa-bound lane
• Monday, October 15: closure of the Ottawa-bound lane
• Tuesday, October 16: full bridge closure
• Wednesday, October 17, to Friday, October 19: closure of the Ottawa-bound lane
• Monday, October 22, to Wednesday, October 24: closure of the Ottawa-bound lane
• Thursday, October 25, to Friday, October 26: full bridge closure

Please note that during these periods, the boardwalk will be closed. All pedestrians and cyclists will be diverted onto the Ottawa-bound lane when the bridge is not fully closed. 

The schedule may change depending on weather conditions.

PSPC encourages users to exercise caution when travelling on the bridge and thanks them for their patience.
