LaSalle Causeway closed to boaters due to high water levels

Kingston, Ontario, May 10, 2019 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that the LaSalle Causeway will be closed to boaters as of Saturday, May 11, at noon, and until further notice.

The closure is due to the high water levels and flow of the Cataraqui River. The bridge will not be lifted for boaters until the water levels recede.

PSPC will continue to monitor weather forecasts, river flows and water levels. A detailed inspection of the bridge will be completed to determine if it can safely be reopened for boaters’ use.
