Load restrictions on J.C. Van Horne Bridge

Campbellton, New Brunswick, July 18, 2019 – Public Services and Procurement Canada wishes to advise motorists that, effective immediately, there will be load restrictions on the J.C. Van Horne Bridge until further notice. The load restrictions have been established as follows:
- 17 tonnes for single-unit vehicles
- 23 tonnes for two-unit vehicles
- 26 tonnes for train vehicles and three-unit trucks
Road signage to that effect will be installed on both sides of the bridge in the upcoming days to inform motorists impacted by the restrictions. The sidewalks will remain open to cyclists and pedestrians with no restrictions. The alternative route for vehicles exceeding the load restrictions will be the Matapédia Interprovincial Bridge.
