Full closure of Alexandra Bridge

For immediate release

Gatineau, Quebec, July 27, 2026 – Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) wishes to advise the public that the Alexandra Bridge will be closed on July 29, and August 1, 5, 8, 12, and 15. During these periods, the bridge will be closed and patrolled for safety measures to accommodate Les Grands Feux of Casino Lac-Leamy event, as per the following schedule:

• Closed to vehicles: from 7:30 pm to 10:30 pm
• Complete bridge closure, including pedestrians and cyclists: from 8:30 pm to 10 pm
• Reopening the boardwalk to Pedestrians and cyclists: 10 pm
• Reopening the lanes to vehicles: 10:30 pm

Pedestrians and cyclists will be able to use the center lane between 7:30 pm and 8:30 pm.

Road signage will be in place, and flag persons will be on site to direct traffic.
