Dive Tender Replacement

The dive tender replacement (DTR) project will replace the existing fleet of Granby- and Sechelt-class vessels. It will introduce two new DTR vessels, one on the East Coast and one on the West Coast.

These DTR vessels will enable Royal Canadian Navy divers to safely and effectively carry out underwater tasks. These tasks are critical to naval operations and public safety. The DTR vessels will support a range of activities, including:

Current status

On June 8, 2026, Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) issued a Request for Information to seek industry feedback regarding the DTR project.
