Consultation 2: Public consultation report held in October 2024

Consultation 3: Public Participation Round 3 Report held from June to July 2025

The Public Participation Round 3 Report summarizes the feedback on the refined reference design. It emphasizes accessibility, sustainability and integration with the surrounding landscape. To guide the final design and planning stages, the third round incorporates input from Indigenous communities, advisory groups and the public.

2017 Life Cycle Cost Analysis and Replacement Study for the Alexandra Bridge

The purpose of the study was to assist in the decision to rehabilitate the existing structure or to replace it with a new contemporary structure, a replacement “in kind” or a signature structure. Available in English and French.

The report presents the findings of a full inspection of all bridge components. Available in English and French.

2022 Feasibility Study for Maintaining the Structure

This study looked at different ways to keep the Alexandra Bridge in use for another 75 years. It examined the options, risks and impacts of maintaining the bridge. Key finding: keeping the existing bridge is not possible, no matter how it might be used in the future, whether for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists or public transit.
