Astronaut Jenni Sidey to unveil student teams selected to take part in a real space mission

Winnipeg, Manitoba, May 3, 2018 – On May 4, 2018, Canadian Space Agency astronaut Jenni Sidey will unveil the teams that have been selected to participate in a new national student space initiative, the Canadian CubeSat Project. After the press conference, Jenni will tour the University of Manitoba's satellite facilities.
Through the Canadian CubeSat Project, post-secondary students from across the country have the opportunity to be involved in a real space mission by designing, building and operating their own miniature satellite (called a CubeSat) that will be launched into space.
Media representatives are invited to attend the event.
Winning teams from across Canada will join the event virtually.
The press conference will be broadcast via Facebook Live.
