Latest News on the OSIRIS-REx Mission

Longueuil, Quebec,  — On , NASA will hold a media teleconference to provide an update on upcoming activities related to the OSIRIS-REx mission operations. The spacecraft is scheduled to arrive at the asteroid Bennu on .

The purpose of the OSIRIS-REx mission is to collect a sample of Bennu and bring it to Earth for analysis in . Canada's OLA instrument will create a 3D map of the asteroid's surface to help select an ideal sample site.

Audio of the teleconference will be transmitted live at the following link: https://www.nasa.gov/live.

To participate, media representatives must email their full name and the media outlet for which they work to Lonnie Shekhtman at lonnie.shekhtman@nasa.gov by at noon ET.
