Media advisory
Longueuil, Quebec, February 8, 2019 — On February 11, during WE Day Montreal, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut David Saint-Jacques will share his perspective of Earth from space, live from the International Space Station. He will also talk about what he is doing to improve our quality of life on Earth through science experiments that he is conducting in orbit, after which time he will answer questions from the audience.
For WE Day Montreal, 2,000 students and educators from all over Quebec will gather at Théâtre St-Denis to celebrate young people who are creating change in their communities, at the local and international levels.
The next day (February 12), at the French-language WE Day event, a video will be played of David Saint-Jacques delivering the same message in French.
Media representatives who wish to attend must register with WE Day Montreal at we.org/media-accreditation. Those who cannot be there in person can watch the event live (or watch the video afterwards) on the CSA's YouTube channel.
