Astronaut David Saint-Jacques to encourage Halifax students to explore science and technology
Media advisory
Halifax, Nova Scotia, March 1, 2019 — Live from the International Space Station, Canadian Space Agency (CSA) astronaut David Saint-Jacques will speak with students gathered at Dalhousie University. CSA astronaut Joshua Kutryk will take part in the live exchange and give a brief presentation on astronaut training.
With the objective of introducing and attracting high schools students from underrepresented groups to some of the exciting opportunities in science and engineering, the connection will be followed by immersive and engaging learning activities where they will be able to visit labs and talk to university students.
If time permits, on-site media representatives may have the opportunity to ask David Saint-Jacques questions.
Media representatives who are unable to attend the event can watch it live (or watch the video afterwards) on the CSA's YouTube channel.
