Canadian scientists to study health in space to benefit life on Earth

Longueuil, Quebec,  — The Canadian Space Agency has awarded grants to support nine universities from across Canada to pursue research projects to better understand the effects of space on the human body.

  • Three projects will use data mining to analyze previously collected data to gain new knowledge on health.
  • Six projects will use research models, where scientists can test their ideas on model organisms exposed to the space environment, here on Earth.
