James Webb Space Telescope ready for instrument commissioning

Longueuil, Quebec, — With the alignment of the James Webb Space Telescope complete, the next and final series of preparations, known as science instrument commissioning, will begin.
Webb is now capable of capturing well-focused images with each of its four powerful science instruments, including the Canadian Space Agency's (CSA's) NIRISS, and will start the two-month process of setting up and testing the instruments before scientific operations begin in the summer.
