OSIRIS-REx: Canada's first participation in an asteroid sample-return mission – Technical briefing for media

Longueuil, Quebec, – On , the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) will hold a virtual briefing for media representatives on Canada's role in NASA's OSIRIS-REx mission.
OSIRIS-REx marks the first time Canada is participating in an asteroid sample return. Thanks to the CSA's contribution of the OSIRIS-REx Laser Altimeter (OLA), Canada will receive a portion of the asteroid Bennu sample, which is expected to land on .
Media representatives who wish to participate must register in advance by contacting the CSA's Media Relations Office: asc.medias-media.csa@asc-csa.gc.ca. The event link (Zoom) and instructions for the question-and-answer session will be provided.
