Decontamination work at Mont-Joli Airport

June 17, 2016 – Mont-Joli, Quebec – Transport Canada
Today, as part of Infrastructure Program 2016, Transport Canada announced its intention to fund decontamination work at Mont-Joli Airport. Field work on contaminated zones is due to begin in the fall of 2016.
Work involves excavating parts of the airport site where contaminated soil has been confirmed.
Quick Facts
- On December 15, 2004, Mont-Joli Airport was transferred to its intermunicipal management board (Régie intermunicipale de l'Aéroport régional de Mont-Joli, also known as la Régie).
- It is important to note that decontamination work to be done will not affect regular operations at Mont-Joli Airport.
