Minister Garneau to address the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade

Vancouver, B.C. — The Honourable Marc Garneau, Minister of Transport, will deliver a keynote address to the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade on January 25.

Minister Garneau will provide highlights on the recently announced Oceans Protection Plan which will improve marine safety and responsible shipping, protect Canada’s marine environment, and offer new possibilities for Indigenous and coastal communities.

The Minister will then visit the Port of Vancouver to learn about the Vancouver Fraser Port Authority’s Enhancing Cetacean Habitat and Observation (ECHO) Program to reduce vessel movement impacts on at-risk whales on the West Coast.
