Emergency Exercise at Wabush Airport

WABUSH, NEWFOUNDLAND & LABRADOR - On Tuesday, June 5, 2018, the Wabush Airport will be holding an emergency training exercise. The goal of the exercise is to test emergency procedures and to train and educate personnel from various organizations and agencies including municipal authorities, police, air carriers, and hospital and ambulance services.

The exercise will take place in the afternoon and is expected to last approximately two hours. This will result in increased activity at the airport.  As this is a simulated event, there is no risk to the public.

The exercise will not be open to the media.
