The Government of Canada will make a significant funding announcement about marine response, preparedness and partnerships

Vancouver, BRITISH COLUMBIA – The Minister of Transport, the Honourable Omar Alghabra will make a significant funding announcement in Vancouver related to strengthening marine preparedness, response and partnerships during the next phase of the Oceans Protection Plan. He will be joined by the Minister of Natural Resources, the Honourable Jonathan Wilkinson, the Minister of Fisheries, Oceans and the Canadian Coast Guard, the Honourable Joyce Murray, Heiltsuk Nation Chief Councillor Káwáziɫ Marilyn Slett, and the President of the Nanwakolas Council, Dallas Smith.

They will be available to answer media questions following the announcement.
