Investigation report: December 2019 main-track derailment near Gladstone, Manitoba

Winnipeg, Manitoba, 13 August 2020 — Today, the Transportation Safety Board of Canada (TSB) released its investigation report (R19W0329) into the 31 December 2019 main-track derailment of a VIA Rail Canada Inc. passenger train near Gladstone, Manitoba.

The TSB conducted a limited-scope, fact-gathering investigation into this occurrence to advance transportation safety through greater awareness of potential safety issues.
