Annual remembrance ceremony at Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial

Beaumont-Hamel, France — The public and the media are invited to attend the official Government of Canada Remembrance Day ceremony at the Beaumont-Hamel Newfoundland Memorial near the village of Albert, in the Somme region of France.

Government of Canada representative, Pierre Guimond, Minister-Counselor of Political Affairs, Embassy of Canada in France, and French Republic representative, Odile Bureau, sous-préfète of Péronne, will join military representatives from a number of countries and members of the Canadian Armed Forces based in Europe to pay tribute to Canadians and all those who have served their countries from the First World War to current missions.
