Minister O’Regan launches 65th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice events

Ottawa, ON – The Honourable Seamus O’Regan, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, along with His Excellency Shin Maeng-Ho, Ambassador of the Republic Korea to Canada, will unveil a poster to commemorate the 65th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice. Korean War Veteran and artist Ted Zuber, whose painting is featured on the poster, and students from Nepean High School will also participate in this event.

This year, the Government of Canada will mark the 65th anniversary of the Korean War Armistice, the 100th anniversary of Canada’s Hundred Days and the end of the First World War, and the 10th anniversary of National Peacekeepers’ Day.

After the event, Minister O’Regan and Mr. Zuber will be available for media interviews.
