Veterans Affairs Canada is hosting a Career and Education Fair for Veterans, Canadian Armed Forces members and their Families - Public Service Announcement

News release

Halifax, NS –Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) is hosting a Career and Education Fair on Saturday May 4th at the Nova Scotia Community College, Ivany Campus.

There is no one-size-fits-all process when transitioning out of the military. The experience is different for everyone. So, we have organized a Career and Education Fair that will assist Veterans and their families to learn more about the variety of employment and education opportunities available in their community. Veterans and family members interested in attending are invited to register on the Career and Education Fair page on the Veterans Affairs website or on Facebook.

The Fair will have over 40 exhibitors, including Agilec, Irving Shipbuilding, Dalhousie University and VETS Canada. There will also be five different workshops to attend throughout the day that are geared towards providing Veterans and family members with the tools and resources they need to transition to life after service.

Veterans can learn about full-time and part-time employment options, educational and training opportunities and volunteer organizations looking to recruit in their community.

Families play a critical role in the transition to post-military life, which is why VAC is inviting the whole family to come to the Career and Education Fair. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to learn about the options available to Veterans post-service.

Media are invited to share the details of this event.
