Minister Petitpas Taylor to unveil 2023 Veterans’ Week Poster honouring 75 years of United Nations Peacekeeping

Esquimalt, BC – The Honourable Ginette Petitpas Taylor, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will participate in the 31st annual Peacekeepers Memorial Day event at Memorial Park in Esquimalt, BC, to unveil the 2023 Veterans’ Week poster.

2023 marks the 75th anniversary of United Nations Peacekeeping. Canada has a long history of helping defend and maintain peace around the world. More than 125,000 Canadian Armed Forces members have served in international peacekeeping efforts in dozens of countries. The theme for Veterans’ Week 2023 is “In the service of peace”.

Minister Petitpas Taylor, along with other event participants, will be available to media and for a photo opportunity following the announcement.
