Veterans Affairs Canada will host a ceremony in Vancouver commemorating the 80th anniversary of the End of the Second World War and the Victory in Asia and the Pacific

Vancouver, BC – Veterans Affairs Canada will host a commemorative event at Vancouver’s Sunset Beach to mark the 80th anniversary of the End of the Second World War and the Victory in Asia and the Pacific. The event will feature exhibitors showcasing diversity, Canadian multiculturalism and Canada’s military contributions. The program will culminate with a unique “Kites for Peace” activity. The Honourable Jill McKnight, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, will deliver remarks as part of the commemorative event.
