Create a more inclusive Canada

The Unity campaign helps you become more supportive of 2SLGBTQI+ communities.

Unity is for anyone who:

• wishes they felt more comfortable interacting with people from 2SLGBTQI+ communities

• is afraid of saying the “wrong thing” to 2SLGBTQI+ colleagues, family members, neighbours, etc.

• wants to show their support for 2SLGBTQI+ communities

• believes in creating a safer, more inclusive Canada

What kinds of resources does Unity provide?

• Introspective exercises

• Real stories from people in Canada about allyship 

• Presentation slideshows

• Email signature templates 

• Social media materials 

• Printable posters

Does it take a lot of time?

Not at all! The 3 introspective elements can be completed in about 15 minutes, and the videos can be viewed in under 10 minutes. 

What are the key outcomes?

1. Spot a stigma: Reflect on ideas that you may hold about 2SLGBTQI+ communities. 
2. Debunk the bias: Challenge common beliefs and ideas about 2SLGBTQI+ communities. 
3. Speak up: Learn to become more supportive of 2SLGBTQI+ people in your everyday life.
