2SLGBTQI+ Projects Fund
The 2SLGBTQI+ Projects Fund aims to advance the equality of 2SLGBTQI+ communities.
Community-informed projects will address the needs and inequities faced by 2SLGBTQI+ communities. This could include supporting projects that may involve one or more of the following activities:
- Changing laws, policies, or practices
- Working with service providers
- Working to address hate toward 2SLGBTQI+ people
- Engaging the community to address their main issues

Funded projects
The Federal 2SLGBTQI+ Action Plan allocated up to $35 million over five years (2022-2027) to support a range of projects that are addressing discriminatory policies and practices, enhancing support for 2SLGBTQI+ communities, and challenging harmful norms and attitudes.
2024 call for proposals
The last 2SLGBTQI+ Projects Fund 2024 Call for Proposals closed in 2024. For the list of organizations that received funding, please visit 2SLGBTQI+ News and the list of funded 2SLGBTQI+ organizations announced on January 31, or Grants and Contributions. Some of the projects that are being funded are:
- Improving access to resources for Indigenous 2SLGBTQI+ communities
- Amplifying transgender voices to increase their access to leadership positions
- Giving caregivers (social worker, nurse, doctor, etc.) the tools needed to apply an inclusive approach in their work
- Mapping regional services for 2SLGBTQI+ communities
- Using technology and artificial intelligence (AI) to lower and stop the spread of online hate against 2SLGBTQI+ communities
- Supporting conversion therapy victims and survivors in their recovery by equipping them with resources and available services.
