Pride Flag Raising

The Pride Flag Raising on Parliament Hill marks the opening of Pride Season, a celebration of identity and inclusion. Its symbolic nature highlights and reaffirms the Government of Canada’s commitment to build a better and more inclusive future for Two-Spirit, lesbian, gay, transgender, queer, intersex and additional sexually and gender diverse (2SLGBTQI+) people in Canada.

On June 3, 2024, members of the Public Service Pride Network, all members of Parliament including Pride Caucus members, stakeholders, and all people in Canada were invited to attend in person. View the recap via CPAC.

While celebrations occur throughout the entire year, Pride Season runs from June to September.
