Reporting on Green Procurement: 2021-2022 Departmental Results Report, Women and Gender Equality Canada

The Policy on Green Procurement supports the Government of Canada’s effort to promote environmental stewardship. In keeping with the objectives of the policy, the Department for Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) supports sustainable development by integrating environmental performance considerations into the procurement decision‑making process through the actions described in the 2019 to 2022 FSDS “Greening Government” goal.

The Department for Women and Gender Equality (WAGE) is bound by the Federal Sustainable Development Act and was required to develop a 2020 to 2023 Departmental Sustainable Development Strategy (DSDS). The Department for Women and Gender Equality Canada has developed its corresponding 2021–22 DSDS Report, including applicable reporting on green procurement activities.
