Colonel Genevieve Lehoux enrolled in the Canadian Forces in 1992 and graduated from Royal military College of Canada (RMC) Kingston in 1997 with a Baccalaureate in Civil Engineering. Her career covered various postings within the Royal Canadian Air Force and the Joint Environment.
Her operational tours include a deployment to Kumanovo in the Republic of North Macedonia in 1998 where she served as a construction projects Contracts Officer and a deployment to Aviano, Italy, in 2000 as the Task Force Engineer.
Col Lehoux was posted to Wing Construction Engineering Units as Airfield Engineer Flight Commander, Assistant Requirements Officer, Operations Officer and as a Study and Design Officer. She was Officer Commanding of the Construction Engineering and Management Squadron at the Canadian Forces School of Military Engineering from 2012 until 2014. Her primary staff duties included assignments as assistant-professor in the Civil Engineering Department at RMC, J3 Operations Officer at the Canadian Forces Joint Support Group HQ and Joint Engineer at Canadian Joint Operations Command.
In 2015, Col Lehoux became the Commanding Officer of 17 Wing Logistics and Engineering Branch and later took on the role of the newly created position of Deputy Wing Commander. She was employed as the Director Military Careers Administration within the Military Personnel Command from 2019 to 2021 and assumed Command of the RCAF Aerospace Warfare Centre in May 2021.
Col Lehoux is a graduate of the Joint Command Staff Programme and has a Master of Applied Science in Civil Engineering and a Master of Defence Studies.
