CF-18 Demonstration Team pilot
Captain Jesse Haggart-Smith is currently a Unit Flight Safety Officer and two-ship lead with 401 Tactical Fighter Squadron at 4 Wing, Cold Lake, Alberta.
Capt Haggart-Smith has been flying since he was a teenager logging nearly 1,000 hours in military aircraft including 600 in the CF-18 Hornet. He has served on NORAD mission in Canada and deployed to Romania as part of Operation REASSURANCE – Canada’s contribution to NATO enhanced air policing.
Capt Haggart-Smith joined the 583 Coronation Squadron, Royal Canadian Air Cadets when he was 12 where he would receive his glider pilots’ license before enrolling at the Royal Military College of Canada at the age of 16.
In 2011 Capt Haggart-Smith was accepted into the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) where he is following his dream of becoming a fighter pilot, receiving his RCAF pilot’s wings in 2016, and being selected to fly the CF-18 Hornet.
