1st Regiment, Royal Canadian Horse Artillery (1 RCHA) is the senior unit of the regular component of the Canadian Armed Forces. Our mission is to generate artillery forces that can Command, Sense, Act, Shield and Sustain, within the Battle Task Standards, in support of affiliated units, and in accordance with the Army Managed Readiness Plan.

1 RCHA is currently garrisoned at Canadian Forces Base Shilo, the Home Station of the Royal Regiment of Canadian Artillery.

Our mission is o generate artillery forces that can Command, Sense, Act, Shield and Sustain, within the Battle Task Standards, in support of affiliated units, and in accordance with the Army Managed Readiness Plan.

  • Sergeant Major: Chief Warrant Officer C.A. Rigby

The Regiment continues to fulfill its role of providing indirect fire support to the 1st Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group. The Regiment is pursuing a training regime that permits it to be ready for any task.
