Book the SkyHawks
Update starting in 2018: please note the new deadlines for booking the team. Requests should be made before August of the calendar year prior to your event (example: if your event is July 2019 your request should be submitted before August 2018). Requests received after August will be considered however the risk of unavailability is higher as planning will have already begun. All requests made after December of the previous year will not be considered for the subsequent season.
For ease the following is a step by step process involved in having the SkyHawks at your event:
- Step 1 – Read the Organizer’s Guide. This contains details with regards to the team’s performance and public relations capabilities as well as logistical requirements that are the responsibility of the organizer to provide.
- Step 2 – Submit an official booking request form. An email will be sent to you once the form has been submitted that the team has received your request. Await confirmation of the team’s participation at your event, normally in January of the performance request year.
- Step 3 – Complete and return the “Demonstration Checklist” to the SkyHawks no fewer than 60 days prior to your event. This form will be e-mailed to you with confirmation of our participation.
It is imperative that we make contact with a knowledgeable individual who can coordinate our visit. We ask that you identify such an individual as our prime contact before, during, and after our visit. It is critical to the success of your show that you appoint only one contact person for the SkyHawks. This will mitigate any confusion that can arise when dealing with more than one person or an entire event organizational committee.
The SkyHawks are comprised of approx. 20 service personnel from a variety of trades and professions within the Canadian Armed Forces' Regular and Reserve components. A team roster will be provided to the POC to confirm accommodation requirements.
For further scope on the team and its requirements, please review the Organizer’s Guide. Should there be any further questions or concerns, please contact the team at skyhawks@forces.gc.ca.
